What documents do I need to rent a vehicle?

You need a valid category B driving licence (held for at least 2 years), a national ID card or passport, and the ability to pay the refundable security deposit when collecting the vehicle. The minimum driver age is 21; for the Mercedes X 250d and Toyota Land Cruiser it's 23, with a driving licence held for at least 3 years. A second driver can be added to the contract free of charge if they meet the same conditions.

Is insurance included in the price?

Yes, every vehicle has third-party liability and comprehensive/collision cover through ČSOB Pojišťovna. The excess in the event of damage is 10%, minimum CZK 10,000, paid from the security deposit.

How many kilometres are included?

Accepted Answer

The price includes 300 km for each day of rental — calculated for the whole rental, so 5 days = 1,500 km. We charge CZK 5/km over the limit, based on the odometer reading at return. Travel abroad is possible by prior arrangement.

How many passengers are included in the price?

Two. Each additional passenger costs CZK 300 per person per day; the number of seats for each vehicle is listed in our fleet.

Can I travel abroad?

Accepted Answer

Yes, by prior arrangement with us — EU/EEA countries, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the Balkans are permitted. The vehicle cannot be taken to Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Turkey or outside Europe. Please tell us your planned route before booking, so we know what to recommend and prepare for.

How much is the security deposit?

The deposit varies by vehicle — CZK 30,000 for the Mercedes X 250d and Citroën Hobby, CZK 40,000 for the Toyota Land Cruiser and VW Multivan. It's paid by bank transfer in advance or in cash on collection, and we return it within 7 days after a trouble-free return.

What happens if I return the vehicle late?

We charge CZK 500 for each hour or part thereof of delay, up to a maximum of 3 hours. For a longer delay, instead of the hourly fee we charge the daily rental rate increased by 50% for each day or part thereof.

What should I do in case of a breakdown?

Accepted Answer

Call our 24/7 assistance line. In the event of a breakdown, we'll arrange towing and either a replacement vehicle or accommodation.

Can I bring my dog?

Accepted Answer

Pets are allowed only by prior arrangement — let us know when booking. We charge a CZK 1,000 cleaning surcharge (see the fee schedule) and ask that the vehicle be returned free of hair and odours.

Question 10

Where do I collect the vehicle?

Accepted Answer

You'll collect the vehicle in Prague or Pilsen, depending on availability. For a surcharge, we can deliver and collect it anywhere in the Czech Republic for CZK 12/km from the nearer branch (Prague or Pilsen).
